Home.

February 7, 2008 – 9:54 pm

I made it home safely. Although I seem to have developed some major air sickness at the age of 25 after never having issues with it before. The last two flights have been awful during the last hour in the requires-a-barf-bag way. This time, after I exited the plane, I was really hot and kind of fell into a sweaty, light-headed, shaky-legs puddle on the carpet right outside of the walkway off the plane (on the way to re-enter the US officially). The flight attendants saw me and called for assistance, so a lady came and wheelchaired me through everything all the way out to the car. It was strange, but at least they were very helpful and I’m home now.

Tomorrow I’ll look for a way to contact the airport to tell them how nice their wheelchairing lady was. I saved her name in my phone for just that reason.

  2. you were wheelchaired!? is that a verb?
i’m glad you had that nice lady so you didn’t have to use your non-functional legs. :)

  3. yes! wheelchaired! (it is now.)
it was ridiculous. until the flight attendants offered to call for help, my plan was to sit on the floor with my head pressed up against the wall until i could walk again. when they saw me, i was actually reaching for my phone to warn my family that they might be waiting for a while. haha
